TOPICS IN ADVANCED MICROBIOLOGY

All students will complete an assignment topic and an exam topic.
Both the assignment and exam topics are compulsory and are as follows:
Assignment Topic:
- Enzyme secretion: I.R. Beacham
Exam Topic:
- Public Health Microbiology: Superbugs and emerging diseases (including viruses): Bharat Patel, and here are some links to the topic to start you off with:
The breadown of the marks for the assignment and exam topics is as follows:
- 3000 word on the assignment topic (IRB) - 40%
- Seminar on the assignment topic (IRB) - 10%
- Exam topic (1hr final exam, BP) - 50%
NOTE: Any modification to the course and reading list for the exam topic:
Public Health: Superbugs and emerging disease taught by Bharat Patel will be
available on the net for access on http://trishul.sci.gu.edu.au. Ifor
Beacham will advise you separately about the arrangements for his seminar
topic in due course.
